The idea is good, the item look great and works…but not if you want to charge something like a smarthphone.
It works with the old phones (like the 30$ nokia every one had at least once).

Because of the price I have decided to keep it anyway. I am using it now to power my star projector (star master) and works good and environmental friendly.

But I can’t figure out any useful use for it right now, at least for me.

Really a waste of time. This charger will never get any normal cellphone charged as the output current is way too low, even after a full charge of the internal battery.

I don’t even know how you can get by calling this a charger. I already own a solar-powered battery charger for my Droid, and it does a good job of giving me an extra 2-3 hours of juice when I’m doing some heavy lifting. Paid $20 for it. I though these little gems would be a great addition to my travel case for long flights … and at the time of purchase it had a decent rating. Not so anymore and I look forward to dragging the scale down.

PROS: Charges fine, looks good, sleek, lightweight, handy. Comes with assortment of cables to make your life easier.

CONS: Annoying LED light is always on when it has a solar charge, very bright and annoying and I can’t imagine that saves electricity. Gets REALLY hot when you charge it. Looks cheap and flimsy; the protective plastic film over the solar panel is bubbled on 2 of my 3 sets.

BIGGEST CON: Doesn’t work!!!! I’ve TESTED this after having issues and when I let my phone get to only 5m of batter life, and I plug this in, my phone dies in 5m. It literally makes no difference. My phone’s charging LED lights up, so I know it is getting juice, but the juice isn’t substantial enough to even keep it going. So what’s the point?!?

Buyers stay away. Go get something else with a higher rating. This is pure garbage. Sent ALL THREE BACK FOR REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
