These have proved very handy for our compost. If they are changed every week there is no need to wash the compost container or work very hard in order to bury loose organic material in the compost pile. I thought that they were a little pricey but with the 3 pack (75 bags) the supply will last well over a year. Overall I am very pleased with the simplicity of use.

Ugh these bags drove me crazy ripping all of the time. I just found these others that are stronger. Even my husband was impressed and told me to get more. This product is effectively what it advertises to be: a bag strong enough to hold compostable garbage for a week or so in a compost kitchen jar before transferring it to a compost curbside pick-up container.

These work better for me for dog pickup than the ones that are sold as doggie bags. They give you more room when surrounding sand or leaf litter has to be picked up with a mess. And can easily work for two dogs with room to tie without gunking up your hands.
I also use them for my kitchen compost. If I leave it too long before moving to the worm bin, they will decompose. But then I just carry the composter out to the bin. It would be nice if they lasted a little longer before decomposing, but I guess that’s the point. 8-) All in all, pleased, and have been using them for years.

It’s coming from California, and will take forever if your on the East Coast. I of course love the idea of biodegradable anything, but…you’ll have to double bag it (no biggy really). Single ones just don’t work, in the kitchen at least. I’ll be using these up and I guess it’s back to the chopping block for a better solution. At least they’re making post-consumer plastic ones now. Not great, but better! At least it’s a nudge in the right direction for main stream.
