* Hang up bird feeders. Native birds will take a little while to recognize the food source you’re offering, so hanging up feeders in fall is a good way to show them where they can find food when winter sets in. If you want to build your own bird feeder, autumn is the time. Continue Reading Winter Birds How to Help Prepare Wild Birds for the Cold Winter Months Here

Candy Cauldrons
Find an empty plastic container and paint it black. You will also need to paint three small wooden balls black as well. Once everything is completely dry, glue the balls to the bottom of the cauldron. Add a wire handle if you would like, and fill your cauldron with your favorite Halloween candies.
Lollipops
If you are planning on handing out lollipops as part of your treats for trick-or-treating, you kids can help you decorate them. Guide to Atlantic Puffin Rare Bird Watching Find For Bird Watchers!
Observing one of these is a bird watcher’s dream come true because of the fact that they are not typically commonplace in the world. As the name suggests, they can only be found along the coast of the northern Atlantic Ocean and only during specific time frames of the year. If you are in the process of building a life list, or a set of goals, this is definitely one bird that will set you head and shoulders above the others.
The Atlantic Puffin is one of the most beautiful bird and they belong to the Auk bird family. It is a seabird, and this little bird survives by being a fisher in the ocean, often diving 50 feet or more to catch it’s own dinner. It is distinguished by its unique white lower body, which contrasts with it’s back and wings of midnight black. The head is black topped with white around the eyes and extending outwards to the beak. The beak is a magnificence of sweeping colors with yellow, black and red being the dominant colors, and the colorings lead to the nicknames ‘clown of the ocean’ and ‘sea parrot’ for this bird. 1. Greeting cards
Thanksgiving is the time of year for sending cards. Making your own from junk mail and postal packaging is a fun project. Cut out pictures from holiday catalogs, gather sample cards that come in the mail, or otherwise collect interesting images from the free mail you receive. Then cut out greeting card-sized sheets of thin cardboard, thick envelopes, or other packaging. Use a paintbrush and decoupage medium, or white glue slightly watered down, and paste the images to the cardboard you cut out.
