What is Toxic Waste
Toxic waste are poisonous byproducts of manufacturing, farming, construction, farming, city sewage and septic systems, automotive garages and repair shops, laboratories, hospitals, along with other industrial processes. The hazardous waste may come in the form of liquids, solids, or sludge and contain dangerous chemicals, heavy metals, radiation, dangerous pathogens, among other toxins. Renewable Energy Policy Important to Future of Planet
Most recently, at Obama’s 2012 State of the Union Address Energy, he laid out a half dozen energy proposals, however, most of the policies he announced were either previously announced, stand little chance of passing through congress, or not that big of a deal. According to Jose Valera, a Houston based lawyer in the energy practice at the global law firm Mayer Brown, “It’s a smart, well balanced, welcome policy, and everybody is a winner.”
While the traditional fossil fuels will still play an important role in the future while we transition to renewables, in technologies like wind and solar, Obama called for extending tax credits that basically give these firms a 30% subsidy and also called for the federal government to allow renewable projects on its land. Texas Heat Wave & Drought Linked to Rapid Global Warming by NASA’s James Hansen
The Texas heat wave and Texas drought that occurred over three months last summer where the temperatures in Texas rose higher than at any time in recorded history, and the state is still in the midst of the most expensive drought in the states history. But can the 2011 Texas heat wave and Texas drought be linked to global warming?
Some of us do associate these extreme weather events like this list of worst storms – natural disasters 2011 to global warming. However it is an entirely different world for scientists, and it is even difficult to get accross the fact that climate change is going on or is man made, however those attempts to discredit the science have been reduced greatly by the Koch led study into whether or not global warming is real. State of the Union Address 2012: Obama Emphasizes Clean Energy and Environmental Policies
Though he made no mention of Solyndra, the bankrupt solar company that benefited from a government loan program, or Keystone XL, the controversial oil pipeline he rejected to much celebration and criticism last week, the president showed political backbone in refusing to back down from his commitment to investing in developing renewables.
Obama vowed to incentivize manufacturers to make energy upgrades, as well as to green the carbon footprint of the nation’s military. He announced that the Department of Defense will make one of the largest commitments to clean energy in history, with the Navy purchasing enough capacity to power a quarter of a million homes per year. Keystone XL Pipeline Deal Rejected By President Obama
