Benefits of Probiotics Why They Are so Beneficial to Our Health

The benefits of probiotics are many, which is why they are so beneficial to our health. A lack of those important healthy intestinal bacteria (or flora) has been implicated in a wide variety of diseases, including the classic diseases of the bowel such as Crohn’s disease and colitis. Although probiotics, which is the terminology used for these good intestinal bacteria, they are generally associated with good intestinal health, and as it turns out, other body systems can also benefit from probiotic supplementation. People who supplement with these have obtained considerable relief from a wide variety of conditions as new research indicates that is is also effective in other gastrointestinal dysfunctions such as diarrhea, as well as the immune system and conditions such as allergies in children, adults and the elderly. .

Probiotics What Are They?

They are a form of bacteria that is all around good for us. Your intestine has bacteria that could, if they multiply too quickly, cause illness and disease, however, it also has good bacteria that work on your behalf, destroying harmful pathogens, or the bad bacteria. These beneficial bacteria also manufacture some vitamins, in particular, the vital B-complex vitamins. Continue Reading Benefits of Probiotics Why They Are so Beneficial to Our Health Here

Is Electricity Renewable or Non-Renewable? How to Find out if your Electricity is Renewable or Non-Renewable

Is electricity renewable? How to find out if your electricity is renewable or non-renewable. As it currently stands, our current grid and sources of energy come from a wide variety of sources and is not limited to a single power source. To begin with, first we must determine what the renewable and non-renewable energy sources are before we can fully understand and answer this question with a degree of honesty.

In short, electricity is largely produced by power stations burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas. Nuclear fission can also be used to produce electricity from nuclear power plants. All these sources of energy are not renewable, which means that there is a finite, or limited amount of these fuels available in the world and when it is all used up, that’s it, there will be no more.

On the other hand, hydro, wind, tidal, geothermal, biomass, and solar power are all regarded as sustainable and renewable forms of energy because they aren’t finite and limited to available resources. We use the energy we obtain from these sources and it still keeps coming, it will not run out! Continue Reading Is Electricity Renewable or Non-Renewable? Chile Miners Rescue Finally! Alex Ibanez/AP

The Chile Miners Rescue effort is the deepest ever made by all current records of mining disasters, and on top of that the miners were underground longer than anyone whom has ever made it out alive. It was also one of the most advanced rescues of its kind, and the current thought is that it can help bother other countries and firms increase their safety standards for the future. An in depth analysis is first needed though of what went wrong at the San Jose Mine located near Copiapo, Chile.

On Tuesday, however amidst cheers and tears of joy, at 12:12 AM Chilean Time, the first of the Chile miners to be rescued, Florencio Avalos reached the surface. Continue Reading Chile Miners Rescue Here

Solar Renewable Energy – Is Solar Energy Renewable and Can it Meet our Energy Needs?

Solar Renewable Energy - Is Solar Energy Renewable and Can it Meet our Energy Needs?

Solar renewable energy, is solar energy renewable is a question many people ask us. It is also a question which is both easy and hard to answer, if that makes sense. It is clean energy, and it is sustainable, and at face value it is renewable, as the sun shines every day. However it is not renewable in the traditional sense that it can’t be replaced or regrown, like biofuels. However it is fairly consistent, and is present every day for up to 16 hours a day in some areas, and at the northern and southern poles, sometimes is visible 24 hours a day, which lead to great opportunities to harness that energy. For more on this aspect, see Renewable and Non Renewable Energy Sources.

The Earth receives an incredible supply of solar energy. The sun, an average star, is a fusion reactor that has been burning over 4 billion years. It provides enough energy in one minute to supply the world’s energy needs for one year. In one day, it provides more energy than our current population would consume in 27 years. In fact, “The amount of solar radiation striking the earth over a three-day period is equivalent to the energy stored in all fossil energy sources.” Continue Reading Solar Renewable Energy – Is Solar Energy Renewable and Can it Meet our Energy Needs? Indoor Air Pollutiuon Facts: What is Indoor Air Pollution and How to Reduce it

Indoor Air Pollution Facts: What is Indoor Air Pollution and How to Reduce it How is the Air Quality in your Home?

Indoor air pollution facts, what is indoor air pollution we ask? We typically don’t think our homes have air quality problems, as we cannot see it for the most part. It isn’t like we have billowing plumes of smoke coming out of our vents or floorboards, at least not in the sense like those which we see outdoors and are easily identifiable. This is why it is difficult to realize we may have a problem and what to do about it. Once we know the sources of our problems, then we can take steps to correct or minimize those problems and find solutions to clean the air, possibly with air cleaners, so to speak and make our homes into healthier environments for us and our families and loved ones.

Indoor air pollution has been described by the EPA and Congress as America’s number one environmental health problem and indoor air pollution can be four to five times worse than outdoor air and even greater. The Department of Consumer Affairs states that children and the elderly are the ones most affected by polluted indoor air.

We spend about 90% of our time indoors and all this gets breathed into us and our children. Air pollutants can and do cause allergies, sick building syndrome, bacterial infections and spread viruses to name a few. The American College of Allergists state that 50% of all illnesses are caused by polluted indoor air. They state that 10 to 12 million people in the US suffer from asthma and that asthma is the single largest cause of hospital visits by children.
