Wegmans Food Markets recalls Various Prepared Foods That Contain Hard-Cooked Eggs Produced by Michael Foods
Michael Foods, a Minnesota food company said Friday it is recalling more than a million hard-cooked eggs distributed to 34 states after testing revealed some may be contaminated with listeria.
Some 15,000 pails of eggs in brine, sold for institutional use, are being recalled, Michael Foods spokeswoman Diane Sparish said.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the eggs were produced at the company’s plant in Wakefield, Neb., and were bought by food distributors and manufacturers and not sold directly to retailers. There have been no reports of illness connected to the eggs, the agency said. Drug Recalls By Novartis Consumer Health Inc. Include Excedrin Bufferin NoDoz Gas-X Prevention
Novartis Consumer Health, Inc. (NCH) announced today that it is voluntarily issuing drug recalls, recalling all lots of select bottle packaging configurations of Excedrin® and NoDoz® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2014 or earlier as well as Bufferin® and Gas-X Prevention® products with expiry dates of December 20, 2013 or earlier, in the United States. NCH is taking this action as a precautionary measure because the products may contain stray tablets, capsules, or caplets from other Novartis products, or contain broken or chipped tablets.
The affected bottle sizes in these drug recalls are attached to this release. The Novartis Consumer Health Inc. Lincoln, NE facility has voluntarily suspended operations and shipments to accelerate maintenance and other improvement activities at the site.

The pre-packaged coconut macaroons were sold in 21oz and 12 oz plastic dome containers exclusively in the retail bakeries of Publix Super Markets throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. The products are being recalled due to an undeclared milk ingredient present in a small amount in the product. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
“The packaging error was detected during a routine quality and label review by Publix,” said Rick Bernardo. “There have been no reported cases of illness. Customers who have purchased the product may return it to their local Publix for a full refund or replacement. Toyota Recall Toyota Announced Voluntary Safety Recall Nov 9 2011
TORRANCE, Calif., November 9, 2011 – Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. (TMS), today announced that it will conduct a voluntary safety recall involving approximately 283,200 Toyota and 137,000 Lexus vehicles to replace the crankshaft pulley on the V6 engine.
There is a possibility that the outer ring of the crankshaft pulley may become misaligned with the inner ring, causing noise and/or illumination of the discharge warning light. If this condition is not corrected, the belt for the power steering pump may become detached from the pulley and the driver may notice a sudden increase in steering effort.
