Chile Miners Rescue Finally! Alex Ibanez/AP

The Chile Miners Rescue effort is the deepest ever made by all current records of mining disasters, and on top of that the miners were underground longer than anyone whom has ever made it out alive. It was also one of the most advanced rescues of its kind, and the current thought is that it can help bother other countries and firms increase their safety standards for the future. An in depth analysis is first needed though of what went wrong at the San Jose Mine located near Copiapo, Chile.

On Tuesday, however amidst cheers and tears of joy, at 12:12 AM Chilean Time, the first of the Chile miners to be rescued, Florencio Avalos reached the surface. Continue Reading Chile Miners Rescue Here

Arkansas Dead Birds and Fish In Arkansas

Some Arkansas Dead Birds And Fish are among the weird things that have been going on in Arkansas lately. Just before the clock striking 0:0:01 on January 1, 2011, approximately 5,000 birds fell down from the sky, and several days later nearly 100,000 dead fished washed up along the shores of the Arkansas River.

Experts are claiming that the two events are not in any way connected, they are still trying to find the source of what killed both the birds and the fish. There are also the conspiracy theories that are amassing as the tin hatters are claiming everything from government testing, military testing or other government related conspiracy.

According to expert scientists, mass fish kills occur every year, but Arkansas state spokesman Keith Stephens indicated that a disease may have been responsible for the massive numbers of dead drum fish. “The fish kill only affected one species of fish,” he said. “If it was from a pollutant, it would have affected all of the fish, not just drum fish.” Continue Reading Arkansas Dead Birds and Fish In Arkansas Here

Donations to Japan Being Delayed up to 90 Days By Phone Companies so please sign the petition or send your donation to another place from our list here or both!

Many of you good hearted souls have been sending donations for Japan, and some of those are through a text message. The phone companies are the likes of AT&T and Verizon among others that are delaying these funds for up to 90 days before they are released to the relief organizations. These same companies are getting free advertising and press for the text-to-donate programs as well. They implemented the same tactic for the Haiti disaster, although after pressure from the likes of Change.org, they came through. There is a new petition to demand that AT&T, Verizon and the other major phone service providers to stop the delay of the much needed money from reaching it’s final destination of the relief organizations at ground zero whom are participating in the relief efforts. Masaya Uchino, a law student from San Francisco with family in Japan initiated this petition, which can be found here at Stop the delay on donations to Japan petition”.

Record Shattering March Heat Wave Surprises Scientists

Record shattering March heat wave sent people to the beaches in droves

The record shattering March heat wave has come as a surprise even to a majority of scientists. In fact, it’s been so warm in the United States alone this year, especially in March, that national records weren’t just shattered, they were literally baked!

Temperatures in the U.S. for the lower 48 states averaged 8.6 degrees above normal for March alone and an astonishing 6 degrees higher than average for the entire first three months of the year 2012, according to calculations made by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). That by far exceeds, or shatters in our opinion the existing records.

Some meteorologists who have warned about the effects of global warming have become alarmed at the magnitude of how unusual the year has been in the United States. One climate scientist said the record march heat wave is like the weather equivalent of a baseball player on steroids, with old records being obliterated, like the home run records during the big steroid era in major league baseball. Asteroid 2011 MD Trajectory Will be Near Miss on Monday, June 27, 2011

NASA has issued a recalculated time for the closest approach of Asteroid 2011 MD reporting that it will be about 3 1/2 hours later than it had initially thought on Monday, June 27,2011. Here’s something for you to chew on as your work week begins on Monday, that a small asteroid the size of a tour bus will make an extremely close pass to the Earth Monday, but it poses no immediate risk to the planet.

The asteroids closest approach will now be at 1:14 p.m. EDT or 17:14 GMT on June 27, 2011 and will pass just over 7,500 miles (12,000 kilometers) above the Earth’s surface, NASA officials stated. At that particular moment, the asteroid, which scientists have named 2011 MD, will be sailing over the coast of Antarctica, almost 2,000 miles, or 3,218 km south-southwest of South Africa.
