Is it better to use recycled or biodegradable kitchen trash bags?
Why?
I know what each of them are-which reduces “carbon footprint” more effectively?

Probably biodegradable but fair question. They should offer biodegradable recycled bags.
I can make an argument for both, but I would lean towards biodegradable. Plastic breaks down into toxic goo, so I avoid it as much as possible. On the other hand biodegradable means nothing if it is going into the landfill. I personally have a plastic can, so I see no need for a liner, I just dump it directly into the plastic bin outside.
Biodegradable trash bags are made with degradable compostable plastic which allows them to break apart more easily when exposed to a landfill.
Biodegradable bags break down faster than regular kitchen bags, so I would assume that they leave less traces of carbon in the atmosphere.
Tricky question.
I’d say biodegradable.
The recycled ones are good too because the are reused therefore proof of recycling (LOL) But the biodregradable ones will break down and become part of the environment once again, where with the recycled bags once you create something thats not biodegradable it stays, you can’t make it become natural again.
