Indoor Air Pollution Facts: What is Indoor Air Pollution and How to Reduce it How is the Air Quality in your Home?
Indoor air pollution has been described by the EPA and Congress as America’s number one environmental health problem and indoor air pollution can be four to five times worse than outdoor air and even greater. The Department of Consumer Affairs states that children and the elderly are the ones most affected by polluted indoor air.
We spend about 90% of our time indoors and all this gets breathed into us and our children. Air pollutants can and do cause allergies, sick building syndrome, bacterial infections and spread viruses to name a few. The American College of Allergists state that 50% of all illnesses are caused by polluted indoor air. They state that 10 to 12 million people in the US suffer from asthma and that asthma is the single largest cause of hospital visits by children. Space Solar Power Space Based Solar Power Satellites to Beam Solar Power to Earth
One such technology has been around for decades, as researchers have been appraising the use of power-beaming solar-power satellites. But the projected cost, complexity and energy economics of this technology made the concept a non-starter.
Today, however, a new, enhanced, unique approach has been developed, dubbed SPS-ALPHA, short for Solar Power Satellite via Arbitrarily Large Phased Array. Leader of the space based solar power satellites concept is John Mankins of Artemis Innovation Management Solutions of Santa Maria, Calif.
Mankins provided a detailed overview of the power-beaming concept here during the 2012 NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts meeting March 27-29. Continue Reading Space Solar Power Space Based Solar Power Satellites to Beam Solar Power to Earth Here

Pollution in Delhi
Pollution in Delhi
There is a government body called Delhi Pollution control committee existing in Delhi called DPCC basically established for controlling pollution in this national capital region (DELHI). I being an environment friendly citizen applied for a unit in prime industrial area of New Delhi only after installing and successfully running the required systems for controlling pollution and treatment of Water.
Inspite of giving all possible proofs to the department they made our consent application a big issue and keep on demanding huge amount of money from us which due to no other option we keet on giving them the amount whenever demanded from them. Since I had refused them bribe when they had their first visit after the application, they were exploiting us all the time. Continue Reading Pollution in Delhi Here

Most Polluted Cities in America List 2011
The most polluted cities in America list for 2011 called the State of the Air 2011and it shows that overall air quality has improved in many places, but there are still over 154 million people, or over half of the citizens of America still are affected by dangerous pollution levels. This unhealthy air puts these people’s health at serious risk. Since the Clean Air Act of 1970 we have reduced the air pollution threat, but the threat still lingers, and now some want to cut back on our clean air in the name of progress and growth, which is a bunch of garbage. I imagine that they don’t have to breath the air and have the money and free health insurance provided by us in case they do become ill from breathing poisonous air.
The State of the Air 2011 report looks at levels of ozone and particle pollution found in official monitoring sites across the United States in 2007, 2008, and 2009. The report uses the most current quality-assured nationwide data available for these analyses to determine the most polluted cities in America.
For particle pollution, the report examines fine particulate matter (PM) in two different ways: averaged year-round (annual average) and over short-term levels (24-hour). For both ozone and short-term particle pollution, the analysis uses a weighted average number of days that allows recognition of places with higher levels of pollution. For the year-round particle pollution rankings, the report uses averages calculated and reported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. For comparison, the State of the Air 2010 report for the most polluted cities in America covered data from 2006, 2007 and 2008. Continue Reading Most Polluted Cities in America List 2011 Here

Why Does it Rain? Understanding The Water Cycle Can Explain Why Does It Rain
Rain can be a marvelous thing, and it can also be a disastrous problem. We get too little rain and we will wind up being in a drought, with little to no water available for the crops, plants and trees as well as humans and animals. On the other hand, we can get too much rain, which will equate to flooding, and can also wreak havoc on crops, other plant life and trees. It can also be a big problem for local populations, ruining homes and businesses, and disrupting local economies, and displacing people as well as local wildlife populations. Why Does it Snow?
Why Does it Snow
Primarily, it needs to be cold out for it to snow, lower than 32°F though all the different layers of the atmosphere. As the atmosphere is layered, if they are all not below the freezing point, we could get just plain rain, hail or sleet.
Let’s first start at the beginning with precipitation which can come in several forms. For us to get rain, water vapor in the atmosphere needs what is commonly referred to in the scientific community as a “condensation nucleus”, which can be tiny particles of either dust or pollen which are swept up high into the atmosphere. When the condensing droplets that form the cloud get large and heavy enough to overcome the upward pressure of what is called convection, they start to fall. If the temperature all the way to the ground is above freezing, then we get rain! When ice crystals form high up in the cloud, and it’s below the freezing point of water all the way down, then we will get snow. But when there are alternating layers of air above and below freezing, you get other types of precipitation.
