NORAD Santa Tracker 2011 Watch Santa Live With Google Earth and NORAD

With the NORAD Santa Tracker 2011 you can track Santa Claus on Christmas Eve on his infamous good will trek across the globe here. Since it has been a tough year for all of us, with the extreme weather and failed efforts in legislation to make an significant impact on climate change again, we decided to lighten up the spirit around here again this year and present you with a little holiday cheer! Children from around the world have been preparing for this day for quite awhile now, and in approximately 26 days can track Santa Claus on his magical journey with the tracker site, which is already posting news and updates from around the world for Christmas 2011 at the North Pole.

The NORAD Santa Tracker on Christmas Eve is something that the children of the world can have fun with each and every year, and it provides a great, interactive way for parents to both have fun with them and discretely teach them a little about geography in the process. Using the NORAD Tracks Santa website, which is powered by Google Earth, the kids can follow Santa as he makes his worldwide journey on Christmas Eve as long as you have Google Earth plug-in installed, which is free of charge by the way. NASA Video Earth 1. Aurora Borealis Pass over the United States at Night

  • This video of the United States at night and the Aurora Borealis was taken by the crew of Expedition 29 on board the International Space Station. This sequence of shots was taken September 29, 2011 from 07:58:04 to 08:09:47 GMT, on an ascending pass from southwestern United States up to southeastern Quebec. The outline of the Michigan peninsula can be clearly seen approximately halfway through the video, with well-known cities like Chicago standing out well (click here to read our article featuring a still image from this video). The haze seen over the bright lights on the surface are likely night time clouds over the area. Near the end of the video, the Aurora Borealis over eastern Canada can be seen until the sunrise in the east slowly comes out.

Is Global Warming Real? New Report By Skeptic Answers Is Global Warming Real

Is Global Warming Real? New Report By Skeptic Answers Is Global Warming Real - Chart Coutesy of Berkeley Earth.ORG

When we ask is global warming real, there are few scientists that will argue that point anymore. The evidence is overwhelming that it is in fact real. There have been longstanding feuds amongst scientists over the decades since the theory was first introduced by Svante Arrhenius in 1896. Ever since that time there have been those whom deny it’s existence, however, that camp for the most part has changed their tune as evidence keeps mounting suggesting that it is in fact very real. There are still some key scientists in denial of the fact to this day.

    Is Global Warming Real

That brings us to the present day and the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature (BEST) study, a study that was heavily funded by the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, which would prefer to keep climate denial as the mainstream philosophy for ulterior motives, primarily to fight attempts to reduce carbon emissions in the U.S.A. due to their energy industries large amounts of greenhouse gas emissions. The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) also funded by Koch industries is also attempting to thwart environmental protections and climate change legislature to benefit companies like Koch Industries bottom lines. NASA scientists report that asteroid 2005 YU55 will make a near earth miss Tuesday Nov. 8, 2011.

    10-26-2011

The scientists will be tracking the asteroid with antennas from the space agencies Deep Space Network at Goldstone, CA. The scientists are calling the near miss by the 1,300 foot wide (400 meter) asteroid as an opportunity of science as instruments on Earth will be able to scan it during it passing.

“Spaceguard” which is NASA’s Near-Earth Object Observations Program discovers objects like this one, then characterizes a subset of them, and then plots their orbits to determine if any of them can be a potential danger to our planet. NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory manages the Near-Earth Object Program Office for NASA’s Science Mission Directorate in Washington and JPL is a division of the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, CA. Matt Petersen: Ready for Rio: Earth Summit Call for Action

Matt Petersen: Ready for Rio: Earth Summit Call for Action

Global Green USA will join presidents, prime ministers, other world leaders and thousands of citizens and activists from Brazil, the U.S., and around the globe in Rio de Janeiro for the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (a.k.a. Earth Summit) next June.

I will be leading a Global Green USA delegation, which will include a chosen citizen entrepreneur who took our I AM Challenge to fight climate change and demonstrated a community action to help us in the fight. I hope you will also take the challenge, and get the chance to join me there.

The Earth Summit is especially meaningful for us at Global Green USA: Leaders from around the world at the 1992 Rio Earth Summit called upon President Mikhail S. Gorbachev to start and lead the Green Cross. In April 1993, Green Cross International (GCI) was founded by President Gorbachev, and Global Green USA — the U.S. arm of GCI — was started a few months later.
