Sustainable Energy - The Future is Clear We Must Move Forward With SE

Sustainable energy (SE), with it the future is clear, and much cleaner for that matter! No matter how you look at it, it is one of the most critical aspects of us moving forward and keeping our existing way of life intact. Unfortunately, technology dictates that we need energy, but the sources of that energy are optional. We need it to fuel our transportation, heat our homes, power our computers, phones, lights, and other necessities. Currently we derive only 13% of our total electricity from renewable sources, and that doesn’t include transportation! Currently fossil fuels power most of our energy sources, in the form of coal and oil, or gas. These fuels produce greenhouse gas emissions which is a byproduct of their combustion, which by itself isn’t that harmful, but in the massive quantities we are using it, it is a big problem.

As we previously said, some greenhouse gas emissions are part of the carbon cycle, and in limited use, it isn’t going to affect things all that much, but we have bypassed that plateau of safe usage a long time ago, and in combination with deforestation and other similar events, we are creating a big surplus of greenhouse gas emissions that the planet can’t absorb or cycle properly, thus we are altering the carbon cycle and the chemical makeup of our atmosphere, which is resulting in global warming, or now more commonly referred to as climate change. Happy Earth Day Everybody!

Why Earth day do you ask? Many have asked the question why Earth Day since its inception on April 22nd, 1970 I imagine. Lets begin with a brief history on this historic event. This year, 2010 marks the 40th anniversary of the original day which was celebrated on April 22nd, 1970. Those were troubled times, with the Vietnam War, Anti-War Protests, and then April 22nd. Global Warming Hoax, Global Cooling Myth Exposed

Global Warming Hoax, Global Cooling Myth Exposed

Global warming hoax – global cooling myth exposed for the garbage that they are. They both are still alive and kicking these days, even after unprecedented heat waves, droughts, and tornado outbreaks are shattering records everywhere across the globe. This March ‘heat wave‘, described as staggering and astonishing by meteorologists set thousands of temperature records for cities all across the eastern two-thirds of the nation.

No one with a minimal amount of intelligence can see the global cooling myth or the global warming hoax as nothing more than the propaganda that it is. ‘Merchants of Doubt‘ have been intentionally planting seeds of uncertainty throughout the land, but none come as close to the U.S. in terms of propaganda and denial campaigns. These merchants of doubt are paid well by special interest groups to endlessly question data, dismiss experimental innovation, stress uncertainties, and demand further research. These ‘well paid’ ‘skeptics’ are part of a group that has helped weaken legislation action or brake political momentum on such big issues such as tobacco, acid rain, ozone layer protection and climate change. Global Warming

Global Warming is a complex chain of processes which can feed on each other once the process has begun

Global Warming

Global warming (GW) which threatens all mankind and the Earth, appears as a chain of processes that stimulate one another by getting into cause and effect contact with global crisis. At the same time, both crises are closely connected with global political crisis – global crisis of democracy as well as crises of field of fundamental human rights and freedoms, world order and political systems. We think that the struggle against each of them separately will not be enough without reviewing these three crises together and attempting their parallel solution simultaneously.

Considering of role of changes taken place in human factor and mind in both GW and global economic development is very important in solution of these problems and prevention of re-occurrence of this type of crises. We consider it important to study the specific connection between GW and human factor which is the most important factor of global democratic crisis and both crises in a scientific way. International Women's Day 2012 When is it March 8 2012 Make Our Voices Heard!

As with every year, International Women’s Day 2012 (IWD) falls on March 8, 2012 for this year, and is celebrated on March 8 for every year. Each year, organizations, governments and woman’s groups from around the world choose different themes that reflect current global and local gender issues. This may get many people confused, as most people think that there is but one global theme for each year, but that is not always the case. It is entirely up to each nation and individual group to choose an appropriate theme for their demography. For the United Nations theme for 2012, they have selected the following as their theme: Empower Rural Women – End Hunger and Poverty. There also are other themes in place for 2012, and here is a short list of some of them from what we could find at the time of this writing:

Renewable Energy Policy Important to Future of Planet

Renewable Energy Policy Important to Future of Planet, but more importantly, to mankind's future

Renewable energy policy (RE) – (REP) is important to the future of the planet, and for all the inhabitants, including mankind. With the current Middle East tensions creating another surge in oil price speculation, the prices of gas and other oil related products also rise, including food. In fact, according to CNN, Wall Street greed fueling high gas prices, as the laws of supply and demand don’t apply to the price of oil. Demand in the U.S. today is at the lowest level since 1997.

Most recently, at Obama’s 2012 State of the Union Address Energy, he laid out a half dozen energy proposals, however, most of the policies he announced were either previously announced, stand little chance of passing through congress, or not that big of a deal. According to Jose Valera, a Houston based lawyer in the energy practice at the global law firm Mayer Brown, “It’s a smart, well balanced, welcome policy, and everybody is a winner.”

While the traditional fossil fuels will still play an important role in the future while we transition to renewables, in technologies like wind and solar, Obama called for extending tax credits that basically give these firms a 30% subsidy and also called for the federal government to allow renewable projects on its land.
